Soft drinks for hot summer days, which are no alcoholic drinks. (Remember to alcohol while it’s hot.) These drinks are cool, refreshing, and certainly the smallest to be grandparents. Citrus tea recipe is diabetes friendly, but with sugar instead of Splenda and regular lemon-lime soda instead of food for people who will benefit from soft drinks. The Sugar-Free Russian Tea is blended for diabetics, but can be changed easily controlled with sugar instead of sugar and sugar instead of Splenda. The Raspberry Limeade Lemon is a fruit treat.
TEA CITRUS
1 / 2 cup boiling water
2 tea bags standard size
2 tablespoons Splenda
1 1 / 2 cups cold water
1 cup unsweetened orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 can (12 ounces) diet lemon-lime soda
Pour boiling water over tea bags with. Cover and let steep 5 minutes. Remove and discard the bags. Transfer to a medium pot of tea. Add Splenda and continue until dissolved. Add cold water and juices. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. To serve, add the lemon-lime drink the tea mixture and mix well. Serve in individual glasses with ice.
Sugar-Free Russian Tea
4 1 / 2 teaspoon of sugar without mixing orange juice
3 1 / 2 teaspoon sugar-free lemonade mix
16 TL Splenda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 / 2 teaspoon ground cloves
Mix all ingredients. Store in an airtight container. For some, add 1 / 4 teaspoon of mixture 3 / 4 cup warm water. Stir and enjoy.
Raspberry Lemon Limeade
1 1 / 2 cup lemon juice (6 large)
1 / 3 cup lemon juice (2)
1 cup sugar
6 cups water
1 cup fresh raspberries
In a 2-liter pot, close the lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and water. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Add the raspberries. Cover pan and let cool overnight or for several hours. Serve with lemon ice cream and lime for garnish, if desired.
